We travelled on the Newell Highway and I must say it should be called the Truck Highway I have never seen so many trucks one after another travelling on one road...
It was a great sunny day and a pleasant drive..we stopped off at Parkes at the CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope, the observatory is a 64-metre telescope used for Radio Astronomy, when Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon in 1969, it was the Parkes Observatory’s giant radio telescope that received the transmission, broadcasting it to a television audience of 600 million people.
After having a really busy schedule and being on the move since we left Tawonga and John driving every day we decided to stay put in Dubbo for a few days and relax a bit, lots to see here and the park is really nice so we booked in for a week....
Its a nice feeling to be able to finally sit back and relax and enjoy our house for a while without rushing anywhere...after all that's what its all about...
