30th May 2011 Visit To Mt Hotham

Mychele was up early taking photos of the beautiful view in the mornings when the mist and frost is settled on the ground...

While having breakfast on the front porch I notice a cow across the road in the paddock giving birth to a calf...
Mychele was across the road in a flash to get the first shots...I may add she took about 50 photos of the calf...but I will only publish a few :)

 Trying to stand up

She made it !!

After all this excitement we decided to take Mychele and Steve for a drive to Mount Hotham...poor Mychele really wanted to see the snow we had last week but its all melted away....

On the way to Mt Hotham we stopped off at the look out over looking Tawonga and Mount Beauty

Mount Beauty

From there we headed to Harrietville for morning tea at our favourite cafe...which soon became Mychele's favourite too yum yum ...While there we took a few pictures of the surroundings....

Steve decided to try his hand at "Planking" hahaha

As we travelled up the mountain it got colder and colder...but no snow much to Mychele disappointment...

Mychele was fascinated by the dead trees as I am...

We stopped of at the ridge which is a very cold place as it is in between too open space's with great views but the wind howls...

We moved on to Mount Hotham it's self...

We found Mychele a tiny bit of snow....

Mychele managed to get some great shots in..

After leaving Mt Hotham we decided to drive into Bright and show them around there and have lunch..we drove down the famous Avenue with the beautiful trees that I managed to capture a few weeks ago but they have lost most of the colour now and the leaves..

We had a walk down the river after lunch and Mychele and Steve had a frolic with the Autumn leaves as we all did :)

Mychele ended up with most in her hair..

Steve had another attempt at planking again....

 Mine was better hahaha

And again ...

We returned home after a very hectic day...to a lovely sunset
