29th June 2011 Forbes

I finalised yesterday's adventures thinking that I would have nothing more to report..but later in the day John started collecting firewood to start a fire...so I went out to help him and we lit a fire and enjoyed our happy hour in front of a roaring fire, we stayed out side for almost 2 hours...a lady just up from us came over and we had a nice long chat...

John coming with "Happy Hour" drinks

This is what John and I love being out in the bush/free camps and able to light a fire... and check out the sky full of stars...

The next morning we woke to a beautiful sunny day and we set off towards Forbes...

These roads are so straight perfect for driving on...

Once again we found a great camp site at the side of the river, best thing about it ... its free !!!

When we arrived we had just one neighbour, we got chatting with him and he asked us to join him later for "Happy Hour" he had a great little portable camp fire which he bought from the "Mans Shed" at Batemans Bay...

They only had a tiny little A frame van so they did there cooking on the fire...ideal for being about to have a portable fire anywhere...

By the time we went over for a drink several other vans had arrived and we had 8 people sat around the little fire chatting .. it was great total strangers coming together for a drink and a chat....
